Capstar can be used in dogs, cats, puppies and kittens (4 weeks or older and over 2 lbs). Capstar is routinely used in veterinary and grooming facilities when immediate flea control is needed. Capstar begins working within 30 minutes after the pill is given.

The company Novartis recommends using capstar and program together to provide complete flea control and prevention. We do not recommend using this product if you are fighting a flea infestation due to the fact that you might need to give capstar daily and this can become very expensive. Any time a new flea is introduced into your pet’s environment, the risk of a flea re-infestation is high, if capstar is not given daily.

CAUTION – Avoid using this product in debilitated, sick or underweight pets. Always read the package insert before applying any parasite preventative or consult with your veterinarian.
